Workshop on the General Terms and Conditions of Sale in the HORECA sector

In order to operate a café, a hotel, a motel, a boarding house, a hostel or a restaurant, operators have to comply with certain conditions and also have:

  • a business permit of the type 'Horeca' (hotel, restaurant and café) issued by the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises;
  • obtained the 'hotel status' (statut d'hôtellerie) issued by the General Directorate for Tourism (this does not apply to café operators).

The HORECA sector is highly regulated, and it is thus necessary to know and master its rules.

To this end, the House of Entrepreneurship is organising a workshop on the General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCs). The workshop will namely detail the legislation and the rights of each party.

The following subjects will be addressed:

  • online reservation and acceptance of the GTCs;
  • the jurisdictional clause;
  • applicable penalties and interests;
  • the protection of data of natural persons;
  • the electronic signature.

The workshop will take place on Monday 10 February from 15.00-16.30 in the House of Entrepreneurship.

The workshop is free of charge. Registration is compulsory.
