You are a British citizen who has resided in Luxembourg for several years, and you are wondering if despite Brexit you will be able to vote in the European elections on 26 May 2019?
As the United Kingdom is expected to leave the European Union on 29 March 2019, you will no longer meet the legal nationality requirement of being a national of an EU Member State.
You will therefore not be able to take part in the European elections on 26 May 2019.
Please note, however, that if you also hold the nationality of another EU Member State (excluding the United Kingdom), you may participate in the European elections, provided that you have registered on the electoral rolls before 28 February 2019 at 17.00.
