The Luxembourg National Library is moving to Kirchberg and will open to the public from 1 October 2019.
In this context, the BnL building in the city centre will be permanently closed from 6 September 2019. The reception desk and lending counter will continue to operate until that date.
The reservation of documents can still be made from the portal a-z.lu. The number of reservations is limited to 10 per person.
Please note that if you plan to reserve and collect works:
The ordering of books through the international library loan service can be made until 15 August 2019. There is no date limit for the ordering of magazine articles.
It will not be possible to return any documents between 6 September and 1 October 2019. The lending period for any document will therefore be extended to 19 October 2019.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the AED is granting delays in the payment of VAT. The request for deferred payment can be made online using MyGuichet.lu.
For the duration of the Covid-19 crisis, employers can deny or cancel leave for employees employed in essential activities.
During the period of the Covid-19 crisis, the early retirement allowance is maintained in the event of the resumption of activity in one of the essential sectors determined by the Government.
