Are you looking for a solution to temporarily replace your employees on leave? Why not take advantage of the school holidays to hire a pupil or student who is between 15 and 27 years of age? This age bracket is allowed to work for 2 months at the most during the same calendar year.
You thereby offer them a first professional experience in order to get acquainted with the world of work.
Their work contract is not a standard employment contract as such: it is a work contract which must be concluded either before or on the first day of employment of the pupil or student.
Students and pupils covered by this type of contract benefit from the same working conditions as the employees of the business. However, they are not entitled to 25 days of paid annual leave. Also, if a pupil or student calls in sick, the days of sick leave, are, in principle, not remunerated and public holidays are not worked and not paid either.
An information session, organised by the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts in cooperation with Enterprise Europe Network, will take place on 15 November 2018 from 17.00 to 18.30 at the premises of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts.
The event organised by the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts will take place from 8 to 22 November.
